Production Technology

As a part of its customer satisfaction oriented approach and in order to meet customer demands through quality production and a developed service network, Form Foam Company is equipped with the technology and know how that allows us to mould and cut to consumer specifications on color, density, dimension, shape and physical features.

1.Moulding Types

With the use of Continue and Mould foam production technologies, Form Foam Company is able to produce a variety of foams such as Flexi, Viscolex, Soft, Dura, HR and Mould types with the desired color and density features. .

1.A. CONTINUE Cast

Form Foam Company is the first Turkish company to use the fully automated and High Pressure production technology offered by the German HENNECKE company. Foams produced with this technology have high elasticity and stable cell structure.

This technology allows us to produce Resilient Polyurethane foam with specified densities to meet Turkish, European, American and British standards.

1.B. Injection Mould System

This system utilizes a robot aided raw material injection into the desired mould and the closing off of the mould’s mouth. After a certain period the mould is opened automatically and the foam is ready to be removed already having taken the shape of the mould.

This technology is called Moulded Foam technology. These types of foams are used in the automotive, home and office furniture industries. These foams vary in density from 40 to 100.

2. Cutting Types

2.A. CONTOUR – CNC CUT (COMPUTER NUMERIC CONTROL); 

Foams of various densities and stiffness are shaped to required specifications with computer controlled programs.
The contour cut is made with blade cutters that have a 180 or 360 degree movement capacity and that can cut within the programmed coordinates without human interference.

The seat and back rest foams used in the furniture industry are usually cut with contour cutting technology.

2.B. Revolving Cut

Revolving cutting machinery allow for foam of all densities and stiffness to be cut easily to the requested thickness through horizontal cutters working over a revolving plate.

2.C. Roll Cut

Used to cut all sorts of foam from 0.3 mm to 5 cm thick used for quilting in the mattress and furniture industries.

2.D. Profile Cut

Profile foam is designed to meet requested depth, height, and dimensions. Customer demand is met either with single type or multiple cut cutting capacity, as well as three or four various design cuts to choose from. Foams of this type add a passive massage effect to the product.

3. Recycle Unit (BondexForm)

The waste foam cropped from all the various foams manufactured and cut in the Form Foam plants are sent to the Recycling Unit. The Recycling Unit turns waste foam into back into foam.

This way foam waste is recycled into a new foam block and presented to companies in the desired shape and dimensions.
